monday

what a dreary day:

1) one year since bailey died
2) alexis is gone
3) it's monday, meaning my awesome birthday weekend is over


i did have a good weekend, though. friday i took the day off work and went on a shopping spree. some damage was done, and once i couldn't remember how much money i'd so far spent, i left the mall and went home. i then started to build my new ikea dresser. in the middle of putting it together, scott called and asked me if i wanted to go to the dodger/red sox game instead of dinner and a movie. i said heck yes, and was out the door in an hour. i enjoyed yelling 'Yoooooookkkk!" at the game, as well as teasing scott about how much i love jacoby's eyebrows. i also enjoyed drinking two beers on an empty stomach...

saturday was quite lovely. i had lunch with kelley, then i returned to building my ikea furniture, and then later that night i went to the happy ending bar for michelle's birthday. while waiting for her to arrive, i ran into a middle/high school friend who i haven't seen since..2003 i guess? funny how small the world is.

sunday was a nice relaxing day. i finished the ikea dresser and got it into place, thanks to help by kyle and scott who lugged the old out down the stairs and outside (it's for sale on craigslist, if you're interested).


i was going to write something about bailey. i lay in bed last night thinking of what i wanted to write, something poignant, but not over-dramatic. then i started writing today and i just didn't feel like writing about it. it's still a really sad thing for me, and if i was going to say something about it, i wouldn't do it with phonecalls interrupting every three words. so bailey, i miss you a lot and i hope doggie heaven is good to you.
