today is election day. today holds the future. and not in some 'what am i doing this weekend' type of future, but something so much bigger than that. something that will make history, something that has never been done before, something that affects my adult life, my friends lives, my brother's life, something that reminds us what equality is about, something that instills excitement, pride, anxiety, and hope in all of us.
i'll probably be up all night waiting for the results.
